Standalone hybrid energy system. Engineering Case Study (Case Study Sample)
this is a project where a hybrid renewable power system was to be done at a place called Naraingarh, Haryana in the rural india. the simulation of the power system was done using homer pro, which is a software that is used to check the economic feasibility of a renewable system. this project I was to do a hybrid of solar, wind, and biogas

Introduction
Hybrid energy system is where there’s a combination of two or more methods of generation of energy, this includes even the storage and the technologies of end use. This form of energy generation was adopted because of its numerous advantages that a single for of energy generation could not come close to. Renewable energy technology used in this way converts energy from the sun, or wind, or water into electric power through the use of solar cells, wind turbines or the turbines respectively. At present, the electric power system is continually changing in a global view. Universally, there is increased dependence and demand for electricity and pressing global environmental concerns. Depletion of the Ozone layer due to increased consumption of fossil fuels, therefore, is alarming an immediate need to divert to renewable sources of energy at this pivotal time for our planet (Hudedmani et al., 2017). One primary source of renewable energy is the solar PV system, and this can be combined with other sources of renewable sources for generation of electricity.
Governments in all part of the world are encouraging the society to adopt, develop, and deploy renewable energy technological innovations as alternative source of power. Solar energy, for instance, is the concept behind life on earth, unlike other planets. There is, therefore, need to convert light and heat energy radiated to surface from the solar system for use in industrial as well as domestic use to minimize the greenhouse effect on our environment CITATION Hud171 \l 2057 (Hudedmani, Soppimath, & Jambotkar, 2017) The energy from the sun can only be utilized in its forms of solar powers. Solar power is simply energy created in the event of conversion of radiations from the sun into heat through a process known as thermal radiation. It can also be exploited through electric processes. Solar panels are capable of harnessing light energy from the sun while not leading to pollution of the air and hence their ultra-environmentally friendly.
This paper will try and look at the different renewable sources of energy (solar PV, wind turbine, and biomass) differently, they model of power production, advantages. The paper will also try and see how they behave when combined to form a hybrid system, even after looking at the stand-alone power station. Also, the paper will focus on the economic aspect of the renewable sources and how to produce energy. Since, using sources and different references might not give the true picture of the economics and the renewable sources, there shall be simulation done using Homer Pro to achieve the practicality of the same. The place of focus on the case study shall be a place in India called Naraingarh, Haryana Village. We shall be able to judge which module will give a lower cost, by comparing a combination of any two renewable sources as the sources of energy. The constants shall just be the weather, and the projected year of existence.

While the initial capital may look more prominent, solar energy is far much cost-effective as compared to most of available fossil fuel power production. A solar panel is said to have a useful lifespan of 25 years, but it is not limited to this period. What happens is decreased energy production after this period from what is considered manufacturers’ significant power amount. Generally, a variety of PV materials are accessible globally. Worldwide there are many industries involved in the production of PV panels with varying efficacy and limitations.
