Hatshepsut Reign 1473 and 1458 B.C.
If it were possible to go back in time during the ancient and medieval civilizations in Egypt, I would choose the period between 1473–1458 B.C. the rule of Hatshepsut characterized this period. Essentially, she was a female pharaoh. It is vital to note that the role of a king in ancient Egypt was strictly for men. I would love to experience the rule of a female pharaoh. Additionally, it's vital to note that she was one of Egypt's most successful female rulers (The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 2022). Going back to this period would be interesting. During her reign, Egypt was relatively peaceful. I do not think many people would like to go back to a period characterized by war. During her reign, there were building programs that took place. It is vital to note that it was during her reign a great temple at Deir el-Bahari at Luxor was constructed (Jarus, 2018); this is one of the areas I would visit and see this magnificent temple.
