As stated earlier in the previous sections of the study, the players involved in this research study participated in the research by getting involved in wellness ratings divided into physical (soreness) and psychological factors (wellness). The overall intention of the study is to assess the contribution that wellness and soreness have on the ability of the professional rugby players to lead their team to victory in games.
Descriptive Statistics on Average Scores of Wellness and Soreness 2016 and 2017
Analyzing the average scores for wellness and soreness for the two years 2016 and 2017 first includes studying the descriptive attributes of the data. The descriptive of this data involves the study of the mean, standard deviation, skewness and Kurtosis of the data as presented in the table below:

The data of the two years reveals the highest mean as that of soreness for both the years at 12.03 and 14.52 for 2016 and 2017 respectively. The mean for the wellness for the two years was 4.76 and 11.91 for the same period of 2016 and 2017 respectively. Also, part of the descriptive statistics includes the skewness of the data with each below 2 indicating to their normality that warrants their application in the study. The data variables had similar values for Skewness with 2016 for both wellness and soreness scoring 0.464 while 0.481 was obtained for both soreness and wellness for 2017. On the other hand, Kurtosis reveals that the values obtained for the distribution are lower than the expected normal distribution value of 3 with that for 2016 soreness and wellness was 0.902 for both the variables. For 2017, both soreness and wellness scored a Kurtosis of 0.935 which was still within the same range of normal distribution below 3.
Correlation between Wellness and Soreness Scores
First, the analysis of data seeks to examine the relationship existing between the average scores for wellness and soreness through a correlation analysis. The correlation features data for both 2016 and 2017 years. Table 1 below details the correlation results for 2016 and 2017 data on average soreness and wellness
