Sexual variants as the name suggest refers to the gratification of sexual desire via non-conventional means. These non-conventional ways are frequently viewed many as abnormal and deviant demeanor. Paraphilia is a biomedical and neutral term that has been adopted to represent all the variant sexual practices that presently exist non-pejoratively. But there is a distinction between a paraphilia and a sexual variation. Paraphilia is the dependence of engaging in or fantasizing about a deviant sexual behavior to gratify sexual arousal while sexual variants are unusual behaviors engaged during coitus for the purposes of variety. In retrospect, paraphilia practices have been captured for many centuries in different parts of the globe according to books of history. For instance, early texts of the Buddhists referenced numerous sexually deviant demeanors among Monastic societies over two millennia years ago. Statistics dictates that the majority of paedophiles are men with a negligible percentage being women. The victims of paedophilia may develop phobias and sexual related traumas in the later days of their life, and this is quite unfortunate in my opinion hence the emotional wrecking feeling. Nonetheless, another breed known as fetishism populates the list. It is a sexual urge that surges forth in a person as a result of looking or imagining particular objects. For example, a man may be aroused by such inanimate objects such as women’s underwear, stockings, rubber garments and even shoes. Another paraphilia that has been escalating is hypoxyphilia. It is a sexual variant with the philosophy that the sexual pleasure can be enhanced by reducing the intake of oxygen. The results of buying such a notion can ...
