Introduction
School shootings are extremely unlikely, but the recent growth and spate of incidents in the United States have cast a pall over a country that many people believe is safe and enriching for children. In light of this troubling development, all education stakeholders, such as families, educators, and psychologists, must work together to discover the root cause of the problem before it gets out of hand. The incidence of school homicides has dropped dramatically since the early 1990s, yet for many parents, the issue of school shootings remains a source of anxiety. The majority of those responsible for social injustice are men, with women making up a much smaller fraction of those responsible. School rampage shootings are distinct from other types of violence since they lack clearly defined victims, deaths, or rural locations. Some components of the spree linked to these shootings include social, mental, and economic in nature.
