Humanities and the Cultures Identifying a Person

Humanities play a role in every person’s life. Humanities aid and help us with understanding differences between cultures, beliefs and even spiritual or intellectual terms. Every person has a different outlook on life and the way humanities affect each person is the reason. Humanities are a main part in every decision, thought process, and the way we all live our lives.
There are three subcultures or cultures that I can say I strongly identify with. As a young child I spent much of my time with my grandmother who raised me with a powerful sense of Judaism. She was a proud Jewish woman and instilled strong Jewish beliefs in me as I was growing up. Judaism will always play a role in my decision making and thought process. Everyone will have their own opinions in life and the fundamental idea that was taught to me tells us that we should not shy away from a healthy conversation or conflict. We should embrace our differences and try to learn from one another. One object that I connect to this culture through is the Menorah. The Menorah has relevance to the religious aspect of the culture. The seven candles relate to the branches of knowledge. The outside six candles lean inward toward the center candle standing for symbolically being guided by God.
