Ethics
An appropriate mission and vision statement serves to inspire the direction and purpose of the organization and represent the greater values of its members. A company’s mission statement is generally publicized and is static in nature whereas a vision statement may progress given the strategic direction an organization may take. MindTools published an article with specific outlined steps on how to create a mission statement by; “first identify your organization’s winning idea or unique selling proposition” and next “clarify your goal” (2022). This is a simplistic way of looking at a measurable tool for ascertaining an organizational direction and how you intend to fulfill that goal. The next outline was for a vision statement which is often more of an internal goal for an organization starting with: finding “the human value in your work” and lastly “distill into values” (MindTools, 2022).

Abstract
For the purpose of this paper, this writer will overview the components of a socially responsible organization, operating within ethical practices in the field of Applied Psychology. This evaluation will look at the interconnected systems that contribute to healthy workplace culture paired with a vision for long term sustainability. This paper will offer a detailed description of all the parts for consideration of an organization and examples of each interconnected component.
Leadership
When considering leadership within organizations one of the main objectives that stand out is; developing leadership and mentorship that can trickle down to the larger team within a hierarchal structure. Promoting within an organization serves to create staff longevity, stability, and foster an inspiring environment by bringing voices together from all of the various departments. Core responsibilities within a leadership team involve: supporting a strong team environment, enhancing positive connections, a strong sense of community that will in turn increase staff morale and inspire staff to bring their best selves, and for work to feel fulfilling and become a happy place to be. As described in a journal article by Avolio and Gardner, authentic leadership involves critical pieces of “authentic leaders, authentic leadership and authentic leadership development” (2005). This review provides quantitative data based on the “components of authentic leadership development theory” (Avolio B.J. & Gardner W.L., 2005). Essential considerations for ethical leadership within a corporation involve decisions around the type of leadership within the structure and the anticipated organizational culture.
Values
Values within institutions vary based on the type of organization, stakeholders, employees, management team and interconnected structures both internally and externally. Some common values for human-centred organizations include: collaboration, integrity, strong morale, strength-based, solution-focused, respectful, safe communication, wellness, honesty, learning, and leading by example. These values are most effective when agreed upon by all members involved and implored at the leadership level. Values within an organization are often one of the first views that potential employees and consumers get to determine if this has alignment with their own. Values in organizations are strongly tied to ethical considerations and moral responsibility to hold standards for how business is conducted.
Mission/ Vision Statement
This gives a fundamental approach to human centered work with purpose driven values. An example of a vision statement may include: being thoughtful in participatory culture, creating a positive environment for practice and recognizing strengths within a diverse team.
Code of Ethics
In evaluating models that include a code of ethics, many human centred organizations utilize a code already outlined in the profession, specifically this writer viewed the Social Worker’s Code of Ethics, Child and Youth Care Code of Ethics and The American Psychological Association Code of Ethics. The guidelines laid out in these various organizations have a higher standard of care due to work with vulnerable populations. The APA Code of Ethics outlines a scope of practice for practitioners across a broad spectrum of competencies including research, academia and direct client involvement. This code came into effect in 2003 and was last amended in 2017, the five main principles in APA are as follows: Principle A: Beneficence and Nonmaleficence, Principle B: Fidelity and Responsibility, Principle C: Integrity, Principle D: Justice,
