The criminal laws of Texas also include crimes of solicitation, conspiracy, and attempt to commit a crime as part of the inchoate offences. In this case, a case of a woman who solicited to commit murder was reported in San Antonio. The woman accused was Angelica Navarro-DePaz and was 40 year old, business woman at the time of the solicitation. She was looking for a hit person to kill one of her relatives. Luckily, the issue of seeking a hit person reached the police and an undercover police was sent to act like the killer. After a negotiation that ensued between the accused and the undercover agent, DePaz agreed to pay a total of $1700 for the killing where half was paid and another half promised to be settled once the relative was confirmed dead (Downs, 2017).
