Evolution of Mankind
Q1.
Darwin theory of evolution is a biological theory developed by English naturalist Darwin between the year 1809 to 1882. The theory of evolution states that all living organism arise and develop through natural seletion of inherited variations that favours the organism’s ability to survive compete and reproduce. Evolution according to Darwin is descent and has modifications, species changes over time reproduce new offsprings and originate from a common ancestor. Natural selection is a process where organism which are well adapted in any environment tend to survive and reproduce more offsprings. In any population, species are naturally variable meaning that some organisms are more suited in the environment than other. For instance, homo erectus were able to adapt to new environment due to their icreased brain capacity, the ability to control use fire and tools such as hand axes. Homo erectus was a big game hunter in that era. An organism is considered naturally fit when it has the ability to survive and reproduce in any environment.Diffrent traits increase the fitness of organism consequently icreasing the gene pool. Ability to survive will as a result increase the population of the organism. The homo erectus species had higher brain capacity , controlled fire and also used tools to hunt. All this features made them to be more fit in their environment hence reproducing more.
