Is a management style where the leader mostly carries on transactions with people such as taking care of administrative work.

Helps the follower identify what must be done to accomplish the desire results.

Intellectual Stimulation

Contingent Reward – The idea that you have to work hard and wait for the reward keeps you motivated (Marshmallow reward kid video)

Management by Exception – Where leaders allow their followers to make mistakes and grow and ask for help when they needed. Leaders don’t micromanage, good communicators. They challenge people in order for them to grown and learn.

 

Servant Leadership: Some of the characteristics is that they try to always cheer up the person and good persuaders and understand the significance of conceptualizing.

Stages of Moral Development:

 

Kohlberg created and believed that moral development is developed through life and helps people move from one level to the next:

 

What moves someone from one level/stage to the next: Education

1. Pre-conventional: person’s criteria is based on self-interest.

2. Conventional: person’s criteria is based on gaining other approval through conventional methods.

3. Post-conventional: Person’s criteria is based on universal, abstract principles that may transcend the laws of society. This stage requires Authenticity.

 

Something can be moral, legal and moral. They are all different.

 

Four Principles of Authentic Leadership:

1. Fortitude
