Personal Statement
Together with specific experience as well as competitive spirit, I am an ambitious person who readily takes the relevant initiatives towards accomplishing the defined goals. The attributes enabled me to develop a robust architectural designing in my previous institution of Syracuse University School of architecture where I pursued a bachelor of Architecture class of 2019. Previously I had gone to Christian heritage High School class of 2012. My choice of wishing to join the Harvard University Graduate School of Design Department of Architecture for the Masters of Architecture II is largely influenced by the experience I obtained from the capital mechanized Infantry Division between 2012 and 2014 where I worked as the construction supervisor. During summer 2017 I worked in three cities of Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai as a city planning design study abroad. The same position was held in the fall of 2017 in New York City campus. In 2017, I took part in the overall design process of the Evolo Skyscraper competition project where I delivered the main two perspective renderings and diagrams. In 2018, I was a team leader during the Malecon Sea Defence project where we produced perspective renderings, diagrams and overall plans. The project was competitive in the Eleven Magazine Competition forum. I do believe in myself for the experience and skills I hold at the moment, and I am sure to empower my fellow students for the reason that I’m taking along various qualities within Harvard University, my dream institution to study. Precisely, in 2017 I appeared on the Syracuse University Dean’s List of awards. The same year, I was awarded as the Link Hall Atrium Competition’s top commendation. The award as given to the Atrium Project which was held by the Syracuse University the Office of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science. The project was about the overall design concepts, and during the process, I well represented myself and collaborated with other Engineering students thus scooping the award. In 2018, I received an honourable mention from the Eleven Magazine Competition when I was part of the Malecon Sea Defence Project team. My quality can further be illustrated with the publication I made that is the Gowanus Dredgers’ Waterfront Revival and Development in 2017. The project was presented in the NewYorkBuild Expo conference by the Gowanus Dredgers organization.
