In this journal article, Michael Ashkenazi theorizes the next step in the development of unmanned aircraft. Focusing on the role of unmanned aircraft in combat, the author highlights the ethical and legal issues that relate to unmanned aircraft vehicles and the imperatives that are motivating the new development. This article is highly significant to my topic of drones as it provides significant information regarding the ethical issues that surround the use of drones. The article is credible as an expert in the area writes it; Michael Ashkenazi is a professor of Anthropologist who has extensive expertise in research.

In this article, Yeonmin Cho, an adjunct professor at the department of political science at Towson University focuses on the geopolitics that is likely to surround the use of drones. In his analysis, the author investigates a myriad of issues that link to allowing drone operations in the domestic airspace. According to the author, safety is supposed to be the most important priority for policymakers in their effort to allow drones to operate in the airspace. The credibility of Cho's article is guaranteed by the fact that it uses credible evidence and is peer-reviewed. I will use this research article to inform my study of drones and especially on their origin, rules governing them, and the economic opportunities that surround them.
