This book is a result of extensive research that was conducted over more than 10 years. Reny describes interesting facts about immigration within the US, Europe, and Africa. According to the author, immigration is essentially instigated by many factors. Some of the factors include political issues, economic issues, and cultural and religious issues. In Africa, immigration is caused by political issues. The author believes that most immigration within Africa is a result of political temperatures that propels people to flee from their countries to seek peace in African countries. Secondly, the author also narrates that immigration in Africa is also perpetrated by personal interest where people migrate to Africa to seek peace, business, and marriages. However, the situation is different in the US. According to the author, immigration to the US is a result of economic issues.
The author describes the history of immigration and the reason why there is an influxes population of African America within the United States. It is true that US immigration is high because the US is stable economically, standards of living is low, the country is peaceful and the education system is better. People from other races are therefore running to seek better welfare which is not available in their countries.
