Why is education Important? (Article Sample)

Why is education important?
Education is an essential factor in social development. The knowledge acquired in school helps people improve their outlook towards life; good education improves living standards. The quality of life is enhanced for individuals such that one can lead a productive and useful life, improved parenting, and a guaranteed self-assurance.
Education plays an important role in an individual's value; it eradicates poverty. People with college degree have higher chances of finding decent, satisfying, and well-paying jobs. From the salary, one can satisfy the following needs; it allows one to buy clothes, food, and pay for a standard home and other life necessities.
Education is essential in parenting. "Educated parents are likely to bring up healthy and better-nourished children" (Kaur, 2013). It would be ok to assume that healthy children have a higher chance of success than malnourished ones. Education also gives parents insights into how they desire to plan their family and know how to handle any health issues or disease. An educated parent understands that education presents many life opportunities, which is every parent's desire for their children. Keeping children in school allows them to escape the risks of labor, trafficking, and sexual orientation.
According to Verger, Novelli, and Mundy (2012), education's independence allows an individual to understand the world and increase awareness of their environments. The self-assurance is motivated by knowledge to significantly increase confidence since individuals can recognize their rights and freedoms. With education, it is easy to understand one's potential as well as capability. The bible also commends the virtues of knowledge; "How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!" (Proverbs 16:16, New International Version).
In conclusion, education is an essential element of a successful life. Knowledge makes people respect others' opinions as well as their perspective in life. Everyone must be encouraged to receive education to produce people who can easily give back to the community and mentor other children after a college degree.
