The main risks of Teen Pregnancy
Teen pregnancy refers to the situation where girls who are under the age of eighteen years old get impregnated. Therefore it is highly recommended and important to educate young girls to at least avoid sex or even use protection because it could come with great risks.
The teen pregnancy could come with a lot of health risks for example, there are great health risks for the unborn baby and even if they are born, they are more likely to suffer social, health, abuse, neglect and even emotional problems when growing up compared to other children born to older mature mothers. Low birth weight is also associated with several cases of infant mortality and disturbing child hood disorders. This occurs because teens are less likely to gain adequate weight during their pregnancy.
Another major risk could be that, women who give birth during their teens are at a high risk for medical complications and even great social consequences. Apart from these complications, it could even lead to death itself. A lot of young girls prefer to abort and this exposes them to a high chance of demise.
