Student’s Name Professor Name Course Date Role of The Three Weird Sisters and Their Influence On Macbeth The witches who persuade Macbeth to use their fate were three wicked and weird sisters. Macbeth was known to be a bold Scottish general. He was also a very devoted and trustworthy soldier/man. Who then turned into a person who was disloyal and a murderer from manipulation. Those who manipulated him were the three witch sisters. Throughout the beginning, they plotted on Macbeth. For example, "I myself have all the other, I will drain him dry as hay: Sleep shall neither night nor day Hang upon his pent-house lid; He shall live a man forbid: Shall he dwindle, through his bark cannot be lost, Macbeth doth come." Said the witches. They were the supernatural darkness of a human's soul. They had no sense of being good devoted women. Macbeth and Banquo were both Scottish protectors for Duncan. They defeated the forces of the king together as one. Then there was a prophecy made by the witches. “Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none: So, all hail, Macbeth, and Banquo!” said the third witch. The witch is basically saying that Banquo will be greater in death. Later on, in the play, Macbeth made a plan to kill Banquo. "To be thus is nothing; But to be safely thus. Our fears in Banquo, stick deep; and in his royalty of nature Reigns that which would be feared: 'this much he dares; And, to that dauntless temper of his mind, He hath a wisdom that doth guide his valor, to act in safety. There is none but he Whose being I do fear: and, under him, My Genius is rebuked; as it is said, Mark Antony's was by Caesar. According to Mühlmann (78), Shakespeare chides the sisters, when first th...
