Evaluation
Currently, there is a gluten free craze that is actually just an expansion of the low-carb trend. Many people in Miami think that a gluten free product will effectively improve the overall health and wellness. This is a rather common opinion among a significant number of individuals living in this region. These individuals are the ones who create a huge market for gluten free products. Their positive opinion of the product is a major factor that drives them into opting for this product rather than the rest of the products, which are also found in the same market or industry, and which are competitors to the gluten free products. There is a significantly large number of people who are gluten intolerant or are allergic to products that contain gluten (Julie, 2014). This part of the population also provides a ready market for these products, which in turn increase the figures of the sales for these products when added to those of the individuals whose purchases are driven by their positive opinion of the products. The logistics involved in creating gluten free products involve the use of a dedicated facility that only handles the production of non-gluten food. The ingredients to be used to make the products should be well sealed and market to avoid using wrong products that will end up dissatisfying the customers who may be very specific on the products that they consume. Most of the customers of such products have certain preferences that if not met in some cases, can lead to them opting for the competitors of such products that meet their needs. It is, therefore, crucial that such products are developed or produced in a manner that will meet the customer’s needs. In situations whereby there are certain equipment which are employed in the production of products that contain gluten, then it is a necessity that such equipment should be cleaned using wet cleaning systems before being used in the production of gluten free products. This is because a failure to clean such equipment with the required systems and conditions can lead to a rather ‘contamination’ of the production process of the gluten free products, which can easily result in such products having traces of gluten.
There are various strategies that I would utilize to evaluate the food concept. Firstly I would start by analyzing who the ideal customers in the area would be. This will enable me evaluate potential statistics of the new users of the product and also segment the potential market in order to avoid a situation where I try to impress the whole market. The next step is to investigate the market to determine if the product already exists in the market. In case a similar product exists in the area, I would determine if they are satisfied and ultimately determine what the improvement could be made and what are the costs that are associated with the production. Another important thing to consider is what important feature or ingredient that I would be using in the food. It is also important to consider what the competitors’ reaction after successful launch of the product as a result I would focus on more value addition for the customer. Finally before launching a product into the market it would be important to first test it to determine what kind of reception it will receive. Creating a test and learn strategy is important to the success of the business (O'Connor, 2009).
Article Review
The CNET website recently had an article that was meant to look into the strong and weak features of the new released iPhone 6 from the Apple Company, which has had a very great impact in the smartphone’s market. The article by the title ‘iPhone 6 sets the smartphone bar’, gives detailed and comprehensive analysis of the IPhone six and the strong features that it has that will enable the Apple company to compete effectively in the mobile phone industry against some of its strong competitors. The analyzing in this article in done in a rather comparative manner, whereby the features of this new device are put into comparison with the features of other smartphones in the market.
From its outlook and other features, there is no doubt that iPhone 6 is a phone that designed and developed in a manner that caters for the various needs of the target group of the Apple company. Its spacious aspect whereby it is 4.7 inches is a property that is quite popular and likeable to its target group, especially those who love gaming on the smartphone devices. The screen size is adequate enough to ensure that the users’ game experience is a comfortable and interesting; one that allows them to game with their phones with little or no screen size-related issues. The device also has a payment system known as the Apple Pay that provides an easy step-to-step and secure payment process for the users of the products. This is a feature that has significantly contributed to the success of this smartphone, as well as helped in the raising of the sales of other Apple’s products since their dedicated clients are now able to pay for them even more efficiently than before. The iPhone 6 also comes with a new health app that gives it a plus when compared to other phones (CNET, 2014).
However, in as much as this device has a quite a positive response from the consumers and the market when it was released, there are certain factors that may limit its market growth potential. This is the cost of this new device. The phone is quite expensive, at least for the ordinary consumer, and this may affect its market growth negatively. Not so many Apple company product consumers are currently able to afford this device, and even the few that do, have to dig deep in their pockets so as to own this device. This, therefore, limits its growth as a ...
