What is my current experience with the topic?
My experience with the topic involved church work in communities and donating materials to the poor in the urban mission. The metropolitan church identified the lack of material resources as a critical barrier to the success of the urban mission. Helping the poor people in the urban community requires various steps. In my previous mission, the first stage was to hold meetings and identify the needs of the people. Commonly, the church leaders suggested the basic requirements. The next step involved coming up with an action plan on how to get the resources and then distribute them to the materially low-income families. It means the leadership often held a meeting and assigned roles to each individual. The roles ranged from awareness to actively campaigning in the community. It exposed me to the city and the different issues affecting the people.
The mission work intended to help the poor resulted in interactions with many people. It was a process that involved a lot of communication and ensuring the interaction medium remained active. The leadership often provided information communication channels such as the official social media platforms. In the communication process, the team has written various pieces of literature on the problems that affect members of the urban community. Also, it provided the opportunity to create relationships with the people the church serves. Church services and bible studies on engaging the poor are another previous experience with the topic. The urban church regularly designs Sunday sermons with themes such as helping the poor. As a youth leader, I have helped senior pastors develop sermons and even ministered at the church and the community level. It has allowed me to
