BOOK REVIEW ON C.S. LEWIS - ABOLITION OF MAN (BOOK 1)
The book “Abolition of Man” originated at the time of WWII when Lewis was questioned by the Durham University to present the Lectures of Riddell Memorial in 1943. They were really provided, not in the Durham city, but further north in the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne village in the evening of the three days. It is noted that the lectures were printed in a book afterwards that same year by University of Oxford Press. This theme “The Abolition of Man” is one of the best Natural law of defenses of the tradition in the early 20th century. It is noted that the natural law is the idea that there is a native or innate understanding of wrong and right that is the every human being’s possession. It is noted that St. Paul describe the notion in Romans 2: 14-16. This paper gives a mix of summary and critical analysis of Book 1 of Abolition of Man.[C.
