The author postulates the organizational integration is not a one step activity, but a process that calls for planning and dedication. It is one of the main organizations cementing a process, which works on bringing various sectors together. It gears towards ensuring the success of the different departments within the given organization, hence improving on the performance levels. Is communication the major determinant of organizational integration?
In the introductory part, the author embraces the use of his own knowledge in relaying the message in line with organizational integration. He gives an example of the operations that were once being carried out in his organization. This lays a background to this discussion that he brings forth. It also shows how the issue being discussed is always experienced in the society, and in various organizations. This is done by the use of real-life experience, hence working on the authenticity of the subject.
The author the goes further to cite work done by other researchers. I like this fact as he takes a greater look at the issues at hand. This is a way of acknowledging what other authors have come up with in line with the subject. He recognizes the work done by Prakken and Schultz in line with organizational integration. Here, one realizes the fact that communication is pertinent to any integration in organization. This is because the different levels or departments in an organization need to have similar perceptions on given issues.
I agree that the author has made good use of research works that have been done by other authors. He has also done extensive research in the field. I concur with the author that integration in the organizations calls for efficient communication systems and channels. These ensure that there is cohesion in all tasks and the departments that exist. However, there are also alternatives to organizational integration, which include proper planning and control systems.

I agree with the author as he greatly touches on the organization integrations, and measures that should be taken. A great question to consider is does it really work with the methods brought forth? The author talks about emphasizing group effort in decision making that impact on the overall organization, it also assesses the prevailing situation in determining the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats via the SWOT analysis and finally employees are granted freedom for personal development as they work towards achieving organizational goals.
Operational planning draws its origin from strategic plans. It works towards linking the strategic intends to calculated goals and objectives. This involves an initial step of defining the end result of a cycle. The manager thus equips the organization with the beat possible conditions under which the objectives can be achieved. This is followed by responsibility and resource allocation to individuals and various units sufficient for effective work. Finally the manager identifies ant possible hitches that might deter the achievement of set objectives.

In illustration the management at my workplace ensures affectivity of operational plans through a clear set out timetable and schedule that clearly prescribes each employees duties and timeframe to do a particular task. In the production department, standards have been set on the quality to be produced and it should be maintained.
