Wesley Lowery's ‘They Can't Kill Us All’ Analysis
Introduction
Lowery’s book ‘They Can't Kill Us All’ is a literary work that gives accounts of the killing of African-Americans in the United States. Being a black American reporter, he had first-hand experience dealing with white individuals in law enforcement. Throughout the book, Lowery covers different cases of injustices straight from the killing of black men as well as protests in Missouri. He had the opportunity to cover the cases of shootings of African Americans as well as the protests that followed condemning their increased number. His way of reporting is unique and sets him apart from contemporary media that were reporting the same stories at the time. Lowery was able to capture the events from a broad perspective that not only focussed on the victims and the stories of their lives but also considered the consequences of these actions on societies that are diverse.
