In responding to whistleblowing, companies are supposed to undertake appropriate investigation to the allegations being presented. The major concern is identification of the whistle blower and their intention from the allegations being directed to some of the senior managers. There are various approaches that are supposed to be applied with the aim of enhancing the appropriate claims that concern corruption. The matter of corruption in an organization are supposed to be handled in an ethical approach especially if the claim are not fully determined. The management should address the case of the corruption in an ethical manner portraying how to respond on the allegation. Then, auditor is supposed to undertake audit of the firms accounting records to ensure there is no fund unaccounted in the financial records. The other approach is ensuring the suspected managers are supposed to be given appropriate time to respond to the allegations being presented.
According to Renaults electric vehicle program did not take time before dismissing the three executives and hence subjecting them to unlawful allegation. The main aim of the whistleblowers were not identified and hence undermining the organization ethics. The CEO on the other hand did not undertake investigation before firing the executives CITATION RNo13 \l 1033 (R Noe, 2013). Therefore, it is important to consider appropriate organization process that would be undertaken before taking prompt decision regarding firing the three executive. The most important consideration is ensuring all the executives are involved during auditing to identify the corrupt people and thence taking a legal action. Dismissal of the corrupt people is supposed to be undertaken of the concrete evidence is determined and enough to prosecute.
Case Study #2
The partnership between the Aveda and the Yawanawa explains differences in terms of priority and how to respond in different aspects. The tribe of Yawanawa has full knowledge of the use of the Uruku and how the cosmetic company intend to use in commercial purposes. In the first instance, the company identified the fruit from the tribe for using in forms of body painting. The other issue is using the tribe in making promotion of their cosmetic product. According to the context of the case analysis, the company has not mention how the tribe benefit from the promotion and advertisement of the products. Furthermore, they are required to enter into partnership of distributing Uruku to the company for production. Deciding not to respond to the company’s partnership, it shows the tribe are not benefiting in any way from the sales of the product and whereas the fruits are grown worldwide. Therefore, their decision of not responding is essential to the Aveda to understand the partnership is ineffective.
The company is serving its own interest without considering the tribe after getting into the partnership. The major concerns are directed to the form of benefits the community are supposed to get after involving in the partnership. Another approach is directed on how they respond top various activities that are being used by the company. Being used to make advertisement on the cosmetic product without any form of compensation is violation of the mutual agreement among the involved parties CITATION RNo13 \l 1033 (R Noe, 2013). Ethically, the management are supposed to initiate appropriate approach that would attract the community in undertaking the task and hence benefiting from their partnership.
