The performance of any business is paramount in achieving the set objectives. The Squire Hotel is working hard to ensure all the customer expectations are met. Generally, SHG has made a lot of effort in achieving an average 85% occupancy in most times of the years, indicating positive business. However, the hotel's main aim is to ensure a 100% occupancy rate at most times, especially the peak, which requires a lot of planning to achieve the objective. Essentially, an evaluation of the organization's performance would help identify the areas that SHG needs to improve and provide suggestions on how to do it.
The Hotel's performance is above average and generally better than most businesses in the industry. However, some notable measures can help the company improve drastically in some of the areas it lags. The managers are among an essential part of the organization mandated with managing the various resources in an organization (Lăzăroiu, 2015). They should ensure weighted measures that involve communications, motivation, and proper control of the production process to ensure they produce at their optimal level. Employee motivation plays a significant role in ensuring the performance of the company is raised.
The various form of motivation may involve training the employees, recognizing them, delegating duties, and providing rewards for the outstanding employees. It increases job satisfaction, and the employee would inject positive energy toward the organization's success by increasing the service delivery to the customer (Lăzăroiu, 2015). For instance, the employee should be given tips when they exceed the daily target as a form of reward that will make them work harder to ensure the company's success. Also, it allows the employee to tie the success of the organization with their own.
