The infrastructure's project deals with the process and planning of the system, monitoring, and evaluation of project progress, coordination with management and performance evaluation of the project. For success in developing and implementing infrastructure of Hampton Road infrastructure system, we need to develop subsystems such as planning system, monitoring system, Coordinating system, information system and Evaluation system.
We can develop the project management system by first performing a feasibility study to identify what the project requires this is where we want to learn about the necessity of the project management system. At this phase, we first develop fact finding techniques by use of questionnaires, interviewing and many others. The second phase we analyze the results and hence designing a model that look to the actual system. From there we need to construct the project management system considering the subsystem listed above. After constructing, we implement the system. The techniques used in implementing the system include changeover, documentation of the system, testing of the system, and training on how to use the system as well as file conversion. (Ravanbakht, 2006).
The unk-unks of the project management system you find that such project is too complex and omitting of one step of a bottleneck activity will result in a delay of the whole project. So the solution to this problem is that we first need to plan and ensure all the resources necessary to facilitate the project are available. Another significant factor is the security of the system because the data may get hacked and once they hack the project stalls. From my studies, the major way of processing, storing of data is by use of cloud computing. The cloud computing offers an advantage in that it aid in eliminating the unnecessary administration cost such as maintenance cost and many other costs. (Asia development Bank, 2011).
The communication of the project team is very important as one of the project key task. As when the team is working on Hampton road project in one way or another in their operation, it must face some obstacles. One of the ways to communicate about the potential risk is by adequate training and planning. Risks in a project are necessary though some can be under control while other can't thereby minimizing them will be the only option.
One of the ways of communication is whereby the project team meets once or after sometimes as dictated by the plan then air their obstacles that they experience, and thereby effective solutions recommended.
