Religion refers to the subscription to a set of beliefs, practices, doctrines and sacred places. Examples of modern day religions include Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. These religions are practiced in different parts of the world (Kipgen 2018). The religions differ on tenets while some belief in the same practices and activities. Based on the fact that there are differences in the beliefs and practices, there has been one major negative outcome: Religious Oppression (Beyrer & Kamarulzama 1570). Religious Oppression refers to the mistreatment, denial of rights, freedoms and basic services to certain individuals based on the fact that they subscribe to a different religion especially among a majority.
