The Coca-Cola Company is the world-leading beverage dealers. Its headquarters are situated in Atlanta, Georgia. The Coca-Cola Company’s products are non-alcoholic, hence comprising of syrups. The American company was started by John Stith Pemberton, a pharmacist, as Coca-Cola in 1886. Its brand and formula were given to Asa Griggs Candler in 1889 at a fee of $2,300. Henceforth, it was officially founded on January 29, 1892, by Griggs as Coca-Cola Company. Up to date, the worldwide company is under the head of James Quincey. The company has been successful due to its good dealing of products in its supply chain management. This paper will focus on Adam Schrum’s article “The Coca Cola Supply Chain and Manufacturing Process Explained. Dynamic Inventory,” based on supply chain management as discussed in this week’s lesson.
I have purposely selected this article as it relates to this week’s lesson about supply chain management. Additionally, the article is about one of the American and world’s leading beverage company. I have found it interesting to read an article by a writer who has a high profile in matters of e-commerce, one of the upcoming areas in modern business.
