According to Chaucer, in the book The Norton Anthology, I think that marriage makes family relationship lawful. According to the Bible, the Lord commands human to marry in order to enjoy the sex life. I feel that marriage between persons of opposite sex purifies sex life. In the Bible, men are allowed to practice polygamy, however for the intimacy to be purified they must be wedded. I agree with the author that it is better to get married as it legally gives the couple the rights to enjoy family life. In any case, engaging in an unlawful relationship has consequences where a judgment will be passed to the offenders. In line with this, I support the author that she should get married to avoid the punishment that may befall her.
I agree with the author that virginity should one’s choice as Jesus did. A person has the mandate to choose as to whether to be married or maintain chastity just as Jesus.
