Strength
The constitution provides the foundation for a strong central government with authority for importance of regulating the interstate disputes and commerce, enforcing the rights of the citizens and defends from hostile forces.
Weaknesses
Much of the United States constitution is too vague to offer definitive interpretations.
Recommendation to maintain the strength
No significant amendments should be done to the constitution that will alter the foundation of the central government.
Recommendation to correct the weakness
The respective individuals who implemented the constitution should only be the individuals allowed to make any corrections incase the constitution requires some amendments for they will make it better understood.

Amar’s analysis lies on how and why each part of the constitution was written and its various meanings during and immediately after enactment. Despite him making several references to later the Supreme Court’s interpretations, Amar does not try to present a comprehensive account of the later history. The book provides a narration for the entire life of the United States constitution together with its aging process.
