Abstract
Information Systems management in the context of Etisalat Telecommunications in the UAE is discussed in this report. The discussion is divided into four sections – technologies in use today in terms of hardware, software, networks, and data; software applications used to support business operations and business intelligence; the best practices used in the acquisition, implementation and management of IT systems and finally the planning and management of IT resources in the IS department. In presenting a credible discussion, research was conducted to obtain information from both popular and scholarly sources.
