Upward dissent strategies are the one that measures how the employees are to express their dissent to management they use of various strategies for dissent expression. There are some strategies that can be used by the employees to express their dissent to the management. One of them is prosocial expressions which, in general, involve providing the solutions accompanied with facts along with dissent or repetition. The upward dissent strategies are in five different categories; direct-factual appeal, repetition, solution presentation, circumvention and threatening resignation (Kassing, Jeffrey). The direct- factual appeal is used when employees use factual data gotten from physical evidence, there knowledge on organization policies and practices. Repetition is where an employee expresses dissent to the organization on a certain matter repeatedly.
The next is solution presentation, and it involves the employees providing a solution to an issue with or without facts. Circumvention is where the employee seeks assistance from the higher level in an organization. The final is threatening resignation that involves the employee threatening to resign from their position. He was a very established risk management person who had created the name for himself on the global market in this field. He joined MF Global in 2008 where he was able to restore the risk management system that enabled the firm to prevent future blowups. In 2010 Mr. Corzine come in as the company new C.E.O. He started making bets on European bonds immediately after joining the firm and expressed his confident on this decision.
By September of 2010 Roseman started voicing his issues with the board about the fear that the company could suffer if trade got bigger and even endanger MF Global if the financial wave in Europe got too rough. The move thus made Mr. Corzine annoyed by Roseman attitude. In the wake of Roseman concerns he later made three more requests to firm directors which he asked for the firm to increase sovereign-debt exposure. He would respond to every question on the risk the firm would face when asked by directors. Looking at the situation thus Roseman was able to apply the upward dissent strategies and, in this case, the most which he used was repetition. It's noted that he made at least three appearances to the board of directors.
