ANALYSIS OF BATTLE OF BRUNANBURH
The Battle of Brunanburh poem is of importance in the study of how England came to be a united nation. The battle is believed to be fiercest in England and involved three communities, Norse, Celts and Anglo Saxons. The three communities were fighting for power and land. Rating of the most powerful region ruler was determined by power or ability to defend and rule his subjects. The poem The Battle of Brunanburh will explore how the theme of Strength, Cunning, Noble Ancestry, Generosity, and Loyalty was brought to attention.
