Conflicts between France and Germany
German and France first conflict can be dated back to the 16th century. The war between France and German was intensified during the Franco- Prussian war in 1870- 1871. France was formally known as the Gaul frequently raided the Roman territories between 390, 397 during the Battle of Allia and later accepted a ransom to the city. German on the other hand did not participate in the war but rather remained isolated. During the first half of the 19th century the Germans wanted to unify the whole of German and replace it with the united German states, but its leaders so this as a threat to France who were by now a majority and the dominant power in western Europe, this was supported by demographic changes that lead to the first rivalry between France and Germany
