Zappo’s Unique Culture
The Zappo’s unique culture will be helpful to the company, since, it implements the attraction of talented individuals and employees who work while enjoying their duties with brand power and great service. Zappo’s type of business model has been built within the development of good long-term customer relationships and not prices. On the working environment, the company has a relaxed and weird atmosphere that includes employee’s ugly sweater day, office parades, donut-eating contests and nerf ball wars. It’s headquarter has a wellness center, employee nap room and open mic at their cafeteria. On work life integration, the company has a family spirit with a positive team that expects the company to have much socialization among employees in and outside their offices. Manager spends more than 20% of their time to socialize with team members outside work.
In addition, many companies in the future will follow the model. This is because; the models customers enjoy a streamlined shopping experience. The activity increases Zappo’s customer market base, an activity that all businesses should embrace. Most companies are willing to change their view on returns as compared to customer satisfaction. Returns should be seen as abilities to maintain good customer relationships.
