My name is Abdussalan Ahmnad and I tend to enroll for a PhD program in accountancy that is currently offered at Mays University. Currently, I am a holder of a master’s degree in accountancy from the Colorado State University, United Sates in May 2011. After having successfully completed my bachelor’s degree in accounting from Sebha University in June 1998 and master’s degree, I believe I have a wide knowledge and experience in this field, which is vital for advanced studies and research in accounting. I have always found this field to be extremely interesting since it tends to produce to embrace the future by offering practical solutions to the current business world.
The opportunity to study a PhD program in accounting at Mays University will considerably spur my ability to achieve my career goals. In fact, I have always worked to be among the best universally recognized auditor in the country and globally. I am certain that my dream will be realized if I devote my adequate time and effort towards advanced research in auditing and other important areas in accounting. I intend to do exactly what it takes to achieve my career goals, because I believe that everything is possible.
I generally possess a sizable number of attractive qualifications, attributes and experiences that I believe will make me a perfect fit for the PhD program. To start with, I am certain to have a relatively sound background in accounting have pursued my first two degree in the field of accounting. Besides, I have received considerable training in a wide range of accounting field such as SWIFT, accounts of maintaining money and management of assets and liabilities, which I believe occupies a crucial basis for undertaking advanced research in accounting.
The rationale for intending to continue with my studies in accounting in the applied institution is partly due my ability to speak and write in English, which is one of the primarily requirement of the PhD program in the University. Apart from my academic qualifications, I am very studious, self motivated and hard-working student. These qualities have often energized my spirit of determination and committing to further studies. Given that I am also an honest, trustworthy and God fearing student, I am certain that I will be able to abide with all the requirements of the PhD program, which extends to include maintaining student’s professional code of ethics.
I acknowledge that practical skills are very important in any field of study, where accounting course is a subset. On this note, I can confidently mention that I have sufficient practical skills in accounting/auditing. I achieved these valuable skills during my current (May 2013 to date) and past position (October 2004 to August 2007) as an assistant director of accounting department at the Central Bank of Libya, and as a research assistant at Colorado State University from Dec 2011 to July 2012.
