Triple arthrodesis is one of the surgical procedures used to relieve pain coming from the rear end of the foot, correct foot deformity, and improve stability. It works by fusing the three joints of the hind foot; calcaneocuboid joint, talonavicular joint, and subtalar joint (D'Angelantonio, Schick & Arjomandi, 2012). Caregivers recommend the procedure for patients with severe joint degeneration as a result of arthritis or severe flat foot deformity.
