In an organization or company, Human Resource Information System is important. The management of the human resources and business information should be in harmony for the success of an organization. The efficient design of the HRIS not only improves performance of the company workforce but also enhances communication between the employees and the organizational management. This paper focuses on the importance of HRIS, its management and the kind of information that should be included in the system. Also, contained in this document is the design in which the information should be organized to make the data relevant and useful.

Human Resource Information System (HRIS) refers to the intersection and merging of human resource management and information technology by the help of software. The software used by the company integrates information from different departments into a single universal database. HRIS helps automate and manage human resources, payroll, management and accounting activities. Due to the sensitiveness of the information contained in the HRIS, the system should not be bombarded with too much unnecessary information.
An effective HRIS should achieve and improve efficiency and quality of human resource decision-making together with improving employee productivity.
