Management theories are specific regulations thst direct a manager on how to operate daily activities effectively. Theories outline how workers can work effectively towards achieving goals of the organization and the methods to be applied in order to achieve these goals. Leadership and management go in line with one another; however, most people cannot distinguish between the two. Challenges still exist in analyzing the two. To overcome the challenge, thinkers have cited a number of definitions of leadership and management. Management can be defined as an act of directing and coordinating to achieve targeted goals. On the other hand, leadership is more of motivating thus does not need a specified authorization. Managers are skilled administrators, they play a significant role in advancing ideas, examining the growth of the organization and allocating the required resources. In contrast, the main roles of a leader are; to modify the personality of the person and structure of the organization. Successful leadership is as a result of good relationship between a leader and his or her followers. And according to this, we have two categories of managers. Those who interact well with followers are said to be good while those with poor interaction are said to be bad. Currently, it is sensible that organizations believe theories of leadership is to facilitate then respond rapidly and as expected to the modifications inside and outside the organization in order to adjust with the rapid transforming speed of organizational advancement. Therefore it is of great importance to identify the salient management and leadership approaches to adopt folr the good progress and also achieving the objectives of the organization
