Floods have been a problem in many countries in both industrialized and less developed, leading to huge economic damage and leading to human suffering. The decline of flood risk, comprehended worldwide as a combination of vulnerability, exposure, and hazard, is somewhat a distant objective. Management of flood risk seeks to decline the hazard from flood events to the individuals who are situated in flood-prone zones. The risk magnitude is a flood hazard function, the particular zone characteristics, measures that should be assimilated to mitigate the probable effects of flooding, the susceptibility of property and people, and the consequences emanating from a specific flood event (Haer et al., 2017).
