Loblaw companies limited is the largest food retailer in Canada and it includes corporate and franchise supermarkets , pharmacies , banking and clothing and it operates through 22 regional and market segment banners (Loblaw,2016).The company deals in products such as grocery and household items, clothes, baby products, general merchandise, pharmaceuticals, financial services among others. Loblaw has a long history spanning over almost a century with the first Loblaw grocery being opened in Toronto in 1919 (Loblaw,2016).Over the next years business expanded rapidly and by 1928, 69 stores had been opened in Ontario and had unveiled a new state of the art warehouse (Loblaw,2016).
