The decision by an organization’s top management to hire individuals considered to be qualified to meet or help the organization achieve its objectives and goals amounts to staffing. The success of any organization in the modern business environment is determined by the kind people hired to service or work for that organization. Staffing must, therefore, be done on the merit basis to ensure an organization gets the right staff (Rudani, 2013). Staffing is termed relevant to all business organizations as it promotes the following some essential elements. Some of these include helping an organization get the right people to meet its goals and objective, delivery of good services, meeting customer needs and setting organization standards.
Staffing is considered important as it allows any organization get the right people to steer the achievement of its goals and objective. Staffing entails hiring people upon considering key elements like academic background, professional qualification, and work experience.
