1. Find the Gap
Tinker is both a sunbird and an architect. When faced with a problem, Tinker sometimes takes ideas from other fields and applies them to solve the problem. For example, when designing the Air Max 1, he was inspired by the Georges Pompidou Centre. On a visit to Paris France, he was fascinated by how the building had its escalators, air conditioning and different parts of the museum exposed. For this reason, he decided to expose the airbags of the Air Max 1. An architect constructs solutions from the ground up. Tinker has demonstrated this recently by designing the Nike EARL range of shoes which autonomously tie the laces.
