Non verbal communication involves communication other means of communication other than the verbal. This means of communication include dressing, touch, distance, posture and gesture, voice tone, time, distance, environment, face and eyes. These types of non verbal communication determine how the receiver of the information will receive and interpret it.
The posture and gesture type of non verbal communication involves body movement while addressing a person. My current skills in gesture and posture are not satisfactorily and could be easy misunderstood and distort the information being conveyed. Gestures are very crucial especially to blind and essential while communicating to a person who is very far away. In this type of communication I will need to improve my skills. Concrete steps to impr4ove in this area include standing and sitting properly. This will be crucial since the receiver of the information will take more seriously and see me as more respectful. I will study and put into practice the most acceptable gesture that can be well understood. Training on gestures and posture will be very crucial in bridging this gap between the desired level and the current level.
