Reflection of film The Secret
I have come across people talking about the law of attraction who have gone ahead to recommend to me this film, “The Secret” adapted from a book by the same title authored by Rhoda Bynes. After watching the movie (Bynes 2006), I have found it to be educative, informative, and motivating. I agree with the main theme of the movie. After watching it, the movie enabled me to discover and analyze the deepest meaning people around talked about. It opened my eyes to the probability that maybe life unfolds as the secret portrays.
Among the many scenes in the movie (Bynes 2006), one scene stands out, truly explaining the meaning of the movie. Many life specialists are talking of The Secret, which is the law of attraction. One scientist starts explaining about the law of attraction by stating frankly that we do not only reflect what is in our thoughts, we also become those thoughts. The other scientists follow up, explaining the same concept but from a different point of view.
The movie (Bynes 2006) teaches about the secret of life. The law of attraction is the significant point behind The Secret. It explains that the thought we put in the universe are attracted and manifest in our life. The film elaborates further using examples. One of such examples is of a gay man named Robert who due to his negative thought attracts negative treatment from the public. However, that changes after utilizing The Secret.
The movie (Bynes 2006), does not suggest that all our thoughts are manifest able in our life; however, it communicates to the viewer that they should observe their thought. They should be alert of what they are communicating to the universe.
I observe this concept be of extreme importance because if an individual could discover the power they possess over reality, they would be able to manipulate their environment and live a better life. Some of these concepts may seem to be just silly but the movie tries to educate individuals that their life is up to them, the route they take is up to their thought.
Grizzly man
Grizzly man is a film about a man known as Timothy Treadwell (Herzog 2005). The film mostly uses the footage of Treadwell recording himself during his 13 yrs. of stay at Katmai national park where he lived with grizzly bears. Treadwell and his girlfriend were killed and mostly eaten by grizzly bears. I found the story interesting.
The film is much of a documentary showing Treadwell recording himself, talking about himself, about his knowledge on bears, and about his relationship with the bears. He often talks of how dangerous it is, to do what he is doing that he could be attacked and eaten by the bears at any time, but he would also explain how he knew to handle them so they will not attack him. One also get the feeling that the recording was challenging especially the part where Treadwell recorded himself, he would place the camera on the high ground to capture himself fully.
Another theme that reveals from the film (Herzog 2005), is his relationship with a family of foxes. Treadwell adapts a red fox curb that grows to bear more curbs, which are friendly to him and acted as dogs in his presence.
The film (Herzog 2005) is educative and interesting; however, some information does not seem to tie up. Treadwell lived with the bears for over decade years. It seems awkward that the same bears turned on him and killed him. After such a long time, one is expected, to have formed a formidable relationship with the animals that would have avoided his death. It seems some information about his death was covered up, the director should revile it.
Fahrenheit 9/11
Fahrenheit 9/11 is a film directed by one-time Oscar winner Michael Moore. The film can be explained as a controversial documentary, this is because it portrays a hate attitude toward the then president of America, George w. Bush. The film revolves around the war and terrorism activities that were witnessed during the Bush regime (Moore 2004).
The film opens in the Supreme Court, in Florida, 2000, where a verdict went in fa...
