This is an interesting practice in learning as it does not frighten the students. It is a useful approach as it has clarity and specified topics that sharpens the students’ competency in communication and social experiences.
Learners are encouraged to express themselves occasionally and mistakes being taken naturally and corrected. This gives the learners a better chance of memorization. Students are able to communicate to a considerable extend even if the knowledge is not completely impacted to them. This method has been proven to be authentic as the situations brought out are closely related to people’s real life experiences. The learners are able to learn how to use the communication techniques appropriately as it includes role playing and simulation experiences.
These learning technique brings harmonious environment to the class room as in involves interactive sessions. This method is however not easy in making evaluations of the approaches of communication. This is due to instability and factors that are not constant. To a greater extend these method does not take inti consideration the aspects of writing and reading. This makes it difficult to evaluate all aspects of the learning process.
This process involves a lot of time in instructional sessions, conversations and discussions. This is definitely not ideal to large classrooms. There is likelihood of the teacher losing control of the class as it is more of student centered than teacher centred.The fact that it involves a lot of fun, there is likelihood that little learning is taking place.
