Introduction
Leadership cannot be discussed by not mentioning the concepts of ethics. The ideas of ethical behaviors can only be viewed depending on when, how, and from whom is to show concepts of ethical behavior CITATION Har12 \l 1033 (Hargreaves & Fink, 2012). Mentioning ethical leadership needs demands the general picture of particular leaders who embrace quality conduct. A good leader long for personal success and those who are behind his or leadership. Ethical leadership is a primary factor in achieving both personal and organizational goals. The purpose of this paper is to provide my development portfolio on leadership. It will discuss the qualities of a good leader based on the learning theories.
In a broader sense, we all wished to be good leaders who shine the whole round. The genesis of shining depends on the small concept which most people forget, this is how one prepares to be a good leader. Being a leader was contributed by different factors. One of the factors is communicating ethical standards that need to be followed. Understanding leadership theories is my strength when expressing my leadership capabilities CITATION Mar20 \l 1033 (Marques & Gomes, 2020). Leadership theories are the basis of strength, understanding them gives me the energy to move on to deliver the best for myself and those who are behind me.
My leadership experience is driven by life philosophies, these philosophies comprise collective life experience, observations, success and not forgetting the failures. Since then I have viewed leadership as a learning journey that gives answers to common life questions. An ethical leader can develop a work plan whose objective is to ensure that an appropriate team is set in place, communication is key to such a leader too, and leading every person to a common destination CITATION Ahm17 \l 1033 (Ahmad, et al., 2017). Peer learning, extensive reading and learning from tutor has been the basis of emulating my ethical leadership skills. Ethics takes the center of every learning, being a good leader allowed me to learn from my fellow team players, listening kindly, and having self-discipline of developing a better reading habit.
My background of being an ethical leader provides me with skills to understand how problems could be solved professionally. Through the learning theories, decision-making should be whole inclusive as it facilitates reaching to expendable solution to a particular issue. Ethical leadership is basically how I am informed about particular issues that need my attention. When it comes to leading others, ethical leadership creates room for improving interrelationships between team members.
