Argumentative Paper As A Particular Genre Of Writing (Essay Sample)

An argumentative paper, essay, or text is a particular genre of writing. As there are descriptive, narrative, and expository papers, there is also the argumentative one. In fact, certain people do not understand thoroughly the way in which such argumentative nature should manifest itself. Yet, to be aware of it, one has to know that an argumentative paper is featured by an argument around which a discussion containing the opinion and the stance of the writer is developed accordingly. To argue is to be either for or against a certain action, deed, and any topic that is susceptible to discussion. Argumentation, indeed, sparks heated controversies that may bring in opposition many views which may end up with a conflict at times, yet with a solution at others. A certain degree of reasonability and knowledge is required for us to write an argumentative paper. Arguments, in this respect, can be reinforced and corroborated by examples that stem from experience, logic, ethics, history, or pathos. As long as there is an obvious stand that the writer undertakes within a certain piece of paper, an argument could be said to be omnipresent.
