Bellwood, Skelton Grange & Stourton Riverside

Bellwood, Skelton Grange & Stourton Riverside is about 180.8 hectors and it is divided into five sub sections to differentiate one part from the other. Bellwood has the largest area as compared to the other sectors in the area. The major objective of the paper is to enhance the economic value of the area involving the sustainable methods and materials.
Housing
The major portion of the area (Bellwood, Skelton Grange & Stourton Riverside) is developed to provide the housing facility for the nearby residents. The area is blessed with natural resources. The proposed design looks to be natural and gives its looks to be more a green housing projects than an overall construction project. The project comprises of a total of 3000 housing units. However, the proposed housing will require massive transportation of goods from the other regions.

Office Buildings
Ware housing and general industry (not including the major industrial zones) are situated within area. However, as the area is under the influence green travel initiative, the implementation of the strategy will only count 60% effective of the designed strategy. Lack of the highway capacity and urban transportation capacity will impact the large scale businesses and thus lower the economic viability of the area. A total floor space of 299,080 square meters is allocated for the project.
Waste Management
Waste management is best suited to be located away from the town centers and near the river shores. In order to sustainably develop the area, there is need of a bigger sewerage management system that or two or three medium level waste management plants. The waste manage not only maintain the environment but also provide the organic fertilizers and biomass that can be biologically converted to rich energy form.
Transport/Roads/Link roads/Highways/Railways
Transportation is the key factor that runs the urban life. The proposal depicts that the area has a RT Route / Public Transport Link that cover a major portion of the area. The proposed cycling and pedestrian routes enhance the transportability in the urban area. 
Recreation/fishing/water sports
The proposed design lacks the requirements of a recreation/ fishing / water sports. The area is blessed with river that can be utilized for the entertainment of the residents. It is important factor that should be considered from the civil engineering point of view that making a park for the locals in the area is much easier due to the presence of vast green fields.
Health and safety issues
The construction process will expose the workers with little health hazards. The workers will face Cement dermatitis, awkward postures, heavy loads, stress, etc during the construction process. In order to reduce the health hazards, it is important to make the construction safer. Short working duration will less expose the workers to the health issues and the better working environment will reduce the mental stress on the workers (Weeks, 2013).
