Cultural preservation is one of the best ways of remembering our traditional lifestyles and keeping track of a whole history of activities. Digitizing Cultural depositories help spread information fast to the public and also allow easy access to the public. Over the years, it has been a challenge to access the Samaritan manuscript because they have always been in high demand and anyone getting close to them is obsessed with the idea of owning the manuscripts. Jim Ridolfo’s idea to build a digital cultural depository is a great idea and a great step to saving the Samaritan manuscripts from going distinctly. All the 4000 manuscripts are spread all over the world in four different continents and getting access to them is a big challenge but with digitizing the Samaritan manuscripts, people can easily access all of them. The idea of Jim digitizing all Samaritan manuscripts is not an easy task keeping track of all the manuscripts, and it will take a lot of time to achieve that.
Previously when the Samaritans owned the manuscript, they were sacred to their community, but due to deceit, they gave away their manuscripts.
