ABSTRACT
In this paper a design and implementation of a network security model was presented, using routers, Virtua Private Networks and firewall. Also, this was conducted on the network security weakness in router and firewall network devices on the ECU network in their Cisco Enterprise network environment, type of threats and responses to those threats, and the method to prevent the attacks and hackers to access the network in tabled diagrams, without compromising the network usage to the network users of the organization. Also, this paper provides a network model security proposal to assist the ECU network administrator in setting up and ensuring secure transactions across the network. The main aim of this research is to provide a proposal that will assist protect the ECU network from vulnerabilities, threats, attacks, configuration weaknesses and security policy weaknesses.
