A large portion of the world's biggest organizations work together as corporations. Organizations, for example, Wal-Mart and MacDonald are corporations. A corporation is a business that is perceived by law as a different legitimate substance with its own particular forces, obligations, and liabilities (Rosenfeld, 1984).
Classes of stocks
Stocks fluctuate as indicated by the rights conceded to the holder. Not all stocks are the same. Preferred stockholders are guaranteed (yet not ensured) a certain measure of money profits every year, except when the corporation makes no such guarantees to its regular stockholders. Every year, the directorate must choose the amount, if any, of money profits to appropriate to its regular stockholders. The different classes of stock are discussed next.
Common stockholders have the most hazards. A business that winds up in a bad position is committed to pay off its liabilities first and foremost, and afterward its preferred stockholders. When the regular stockholders get their turn, the business may have no cash left to pay them (Devcic, 2009).
Treasury stock refers to any shares issued by a corporation that have been repurchased by the organization and are presently not offered to be purchased by investors. The stock is not thought to be remarkable, in spite of the fact that the shares remain dynamic and may be exchanged by the corporation at some future date. There is no time confine on to what extent an organization may clutch treasury stock.
